Public utilities are subject to specialized regulation before the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission. For over thirty years, our attorneys have been representing various utilities before the Commission. Our clients have included regulated telecommunications utilities and regulated electrical utilities. We have represented clients in obtaining the required permits to construct projects with costs into the hundreds of millions of dollars, and our attorneys also have represented the utilities in necessary condemnation proceedings arising out of these projects. We also have represented utilities in consumer complaints before the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission and participated in rate case litigation.
