I focus on litigation and bring to every matter an eagerness to learn, a genuine passion for the clients I represent, and an approachability that I believe makes the process easier for everyone involved. Before joining as an associate in August 2026, I came to Boyce Law Firm as a summer associate, where I gained exposure to a broad range of legal matters including litigation, appellate practice, and client management.
Brock A. Brown grew up in northeast South Dakota and earned his Bachelor of Science in History and Political Science, magna cum laude, from South Dakota State University. During this time, he worked the 5 a.m. shift at a metal fabrication shop, and before pursuing law, he was appointed by the governor to the South Dakota Board of Regents, where he spent nearly five years as the Board’s lone student voice. As a regent, he chaired the Academic and Student Affairs CommitteeIt was the leaders he encountered through that work who encouraged him to pursue law as the next step in developing the skills necessary to lead, whether in the public or private sector.
At the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law, Brock earned recognition for both his academic work and his leadership, graduating in 2025 with multiple faculty and dean-selected honors and serving as Student Bar Association President. During law school, he externed for the Honorable Janine Kern of the South Dakota Supreme Court, and following graduation he returned to the Court as the sixth law clerk, assisting the Court in a diverse array of criminal and civil appeals.
Now focused on litigation at Boyce Law Firm, Brock brings that same dedication to public service into his work with clients every day. He lives in Sioux Falls with his wife, Kalli, and son and is proud to be a first-generation lawyer. Outside the office, he is an avid runner, whether it be a half-marathon or chasing after his son.
