Overview
I joined Boyce Law Firm in July 2025, bringing a background that combines criminal prosecution and law enforcement experience. Early in my career, I developed trial, negotiation, and investigative skills that now strengthen my civil litigation practice. This foundation allows me to work efficiently under pressure and approach complex cases with a strategic mindset that benefits my clients.
I focus on litigation, family law, employment law, and workers’ compensation. My approach centers on providing clients with straightforward counsel and efficient advocacy, always treating each person with the respect and dignity they deserve. What distinguishes my practice is the courtroom experience I gained in criminal law, which translates directly into confident representation for civil matters. Clients and colleagues describe me as dependable, hardworking, and down to earth—qualities that help me build strong working relationships and achieve favorable outcomes.
Bio
Molly Schommer grew up on a fifth-generation family farm in Wisconsin, where she learned the values of hard work and integrity that continue to guide her professional practice. Her path to law was motivated by a desire to help others and create meaningful change, recognizing that lasting improvements often require legal advocacy.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Community and Nonprofit Leadership, with a certificate in criminal justice, from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. This educational foundation provided her with both legal knowledge and a deep understanding of community service. Molly went on to complete her Juris Doctor at the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2018.
Following law school, Molly gained extensive hands-on courtroom experience working in criminal law, serving in both prosecutorial and law enforcement roles over several years. This dual perspective gave her comprehensive insight into the legal system while developing her ability to think quickly, manage complex cases, and advocate effectively under pressure. The fast-paced environment of criminal practice taught her to synthesize information efficiently and adapt to evolving circumstances—skills that directly benefit her civil litigation clients today.
Now based in Sioux Falls, Molly is focused on building her civil litigation practice while establishing roots in the community. Her professional goals center on excelling in civil litigation and becoming a trusted advocate for individuals and businesses. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and exploring her new home hoping to visit every state park in South Dakota.
